Malin kundang-happy ending

Malin Kundang
Long ago there was a story in the fishing village of Pantai Air Manis in Padang, West Sumatra. There was a widow named Mande Rubayah who lived with her son named Malin Kundang. Mande Rubayah really loved and spoiled Malin Kundang. Malin then grew up to be a diligent and obedient child.
When Mande Rubayah was old, she was only able to work as a cake seller to make ends meet for herself and her only child. One day, Malin fell seriously ill, until his life was lost but in the end he was saved thanks to his mother's hard work. After recovering from his illness he was loved even more. They are mother and child who love each other.
When Malin was an adult he asked permission from his mother to go to the city, because at that time there was a large ship docked at Air Manis Beach.
“Don't Malin, I'm afraid something will happen to you on overseas lands. Just stay here, stay with you, ”said his sad mother after hearing Malin's wish to leave.
"Mother, calm down, nothing will happen to me," said Malin, holding his mother's hand.
"This is an opportunity, ma'am, because it is not certain that a large ship is ready to dock at this beach. I want to change our fate ma'am, please allow it, "pleaded Malin begged.
"Okay, let me go. Hurry back, mom will always be waiting for you son, "said her mother, crying.
Although with a heavy heart, finally Mande Rubayah allowed Malin to go. Then Malin was provided with seven packs of rice wrapped in banana leaves,
"For your provisions on the trip," he said, handing it over to Malin. After that Malin Kundang left for the overseas land leaving his mother alone.
The days passed, days that felt slow for Mande Rubayah. Every morning and evening Mande Rubayah looks out to sea.
"Where have you sailed kid?" he asked himself, looking at the sea.
She always prays that her child will always be safe and come back quickly. Some time later, when a ship arrived, he always asked about his son.
"Did you see my son, Malin? Is he okay? When is he coming home? He asked.
But every time he asked the crew or the captain, he never got an answer. Malin never left any items or messages to his mother
Mande Rubayah kept asking questions for years, but there was never an answer until her body was getting old, and now her path began to bend. One day Mande Rubayah received news from the skipper who had brought Malin, the captain gave happy news to Mande Rubayah.
"Mande, do you know, your son is now married to a beautiful girl, the daughter of a very rich noble," he said at that time.
"Malin come home quickly, son, the mother is old Malin, when will you come home ..." she groaned sadly every night.
He was sure his son would come. Sure enough, not long after that, on a sunny day from a distance, a magnificent and beautiful ship was seen sailing towards the shore.
The villagers began to gather, they thought the ship belonged to the sultan or prince. They welcomed him with pleasure. Mande Rubayah was very happy to hear this, she always prayed that her child was safe and came back to visit her soon, the light of joy began to approach her again. However, in the months since receiving word of Malin from the captain, Malin never returned to visit him. but in the end the mande rubayah prayer was granted, malin kundang came to his hometown with his very beautiful wife by driving a ship that was so big and luxurious. Malin Kundang met her mother by running so fast then she hugged her mother so tightly and said "Mother I really miss you" Mande Rubayah replied "yes malin my son I miss you too, where have you never come home to meet your old mother" Malin replied " I'm sorry mom, I'm very busy with my work there, but I don't come alone, I come with my beautiful wife. "Malin Kundang's wife smiled at Mande Rubayah and joined Mande Rubayah, along with Malin Kundang.
